Anna Laurel and cameraman Phil Thalheimer with ABC 11 News in Raleigh came to my home Monday afternoon to conduct an interview with me about my book. The book is about the life of my son, Chase and the tragedy that took his life. I released the book Sunday, November 29th on Amazon.com Watch the video below.
ABC 11 News Report -CARY MAN HEALS LOSS OF SON THROUGH WRITING
Anna and Phil did an amazing job! She asked tough, thought-provoking questions. Some of her questions I was not prepared for, but I felt relaxed with them and was able to open up and be myself. I felt very comfortable.
Phil did a great job with the camera work, getting a lot of good angles. They also did a fantastic job with the editing. They gave the viewers a lot of good information in a short period of time.
The piece was divided into two segments. The first segment aired on the five o’clock news and the second on the six o’clock news. The six o’clock segment was a stand alone segment, but there were a few things said in the earlier report that I wanted people to hear. Namely, that I have forgiven all the people I was angry with over Chase’s death, to include the young woman who was responsible for the wreck that took his life that day.
I hope you will purchase a copy of my book in either paperback or the Kindle version from Amazon.com There are plenty of lessons to be learned from the story.
The news piece was awesome. I am looking forward to getting my copy of the book. This was an incredibly tough situation that you are handling in a special way. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Monte! I thought the news team did an amazing job! I had a lot of energy that I needed to channel in a positive direction. Writing the book and telling Chase’s story was the only way I knew to do it. I hope someone out there is helped by it.
